What happens in one of my Sound Healing sessions?


As a Sound Healing practitioner I use musical instruments, tools and my voice to create a variety of different sounds and vibrations. These resonate with the physical and energetic fields of the body bringing deep relaxation, healing and a sense of well being. Sound Healing is a deeply relaxing and harmonising experience, recommended for many types of physical ailments and emotional or psychological issues. 

The individual or group will lie down or sit comfortably in a chair in a quiet room where they will be undisturbed. I will ask the participants to close their eyes as if they were going into a meditation session. I will then use their voice and instruments to create sound and vibration. During an individual session I will ask if I may use some of the instruments directly on the body, for example tuning forks. At the end of the session I will then ask the participants to gently open their eyes, taking their time to ‘wake up’.

Tibetan Bowl Relaxation Session

Individual or Group Sessions

(45 minutes – 1 hour)

Tibetan bowls, also known as singing bowls or Himalayan bowls vibrate to produce a rich, deep tone when there are played.  These sounds are very soothing and a Tibetan bowl session can induce feelings of deep relaxation in the whole body. Achieving a state of deep body relaxation has many benefits including the reduction in feelings of stress and anxiety, lowering feelings of anger and high blood pressure as well as promoting circulation, increasing the blood flow and improving sleep patterns.


Individual Sound Healing Session

(45 minutes – 1 hour)

An individual Sound Healing session involves the cleansing and releasing of energies as well as receiving feelings of harmony, balance and physical relaxation. The voice, and instruments like Tibetan bowls and tuning forks are used to gently clear and balance the chakras. The chakras are subtle energy points around the body, which act as gateways between the spiritual and the physical worlds. Chakra healing techniques bring the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy bodies into balance and harmony, generating a sense of peace and happiness. The impact of this healing will be experienced immediately and also continue to be felt over a period of time.


Group Sound Journey

(45 minutes – 1.5 hours)

I take the group on a Sound Journey through the use of a variety of instruments including drums, Tibetan bowls, rattles, chimes, bells and my voice. This takes the members of the group into a deeply relaxed state where the vibrations of the instruments and the voice will resonate with their physical and energy bodies. Each journey is always unique to the individual and will be an opportunity to achieve a state of deep body relaxation, where cleansing and releasing of energies can occur. This will have both short and longer term healing benefits including the reduction of the symptoms of stress and the promotion of a sense of well being.
